In today's health conscious world, let us take a moment
to bring out some true 'heart' facts.
I am not talking about medical 'heart' facts
but Biblical 'heart' facts.

The word 'heart', in all it's forms, is found at least
1,016 times in the Bible.
The word 'heart' has many meanings.
It is used in many ways.
For example, "God hardened Pharoah's heart".
Does it mean Pharoah's physical heart became hard?
No, otherwise his heart could not have pumped blood
through his veins and he would have died.
It means that his will or determination was set
against the Hebrews and God Himself.

God inspired the word 'heart' to be used
to describe the condition of man.
Just a few of the meanings derived by the way
the word is used are as follows:
It describes man's emotions, dispositions, and moods.
Man's capacity for sympathy, generosity, compassion,
strength, character, fortitude, valor and love.
One's desires, determinations, hatreds, likes.
It allows for encouragement and discouragement,
faith, and disbelief and man's full range of
feelings, behaviors, thoughts and values.
Yes, the 'heart' plays a very important role in
our live's...especially the live's of Christians!

Armed with the information above,
I must ask you a question and I need you to search
your 'heart' and answer truthfully.
Your answer does not come to me, but to God!
Is your 'heart' right with God?
Or is your 'heart' in conflict with God?
God has imprinted these questions on my 'heart.'
And I believe they are questions He needs us to
ponder and answer directly to Him.
Where is all the love between Christians?
Haven't you noticed the marked drop in church
attendance and the stark indifference that
has invaded our churches and our Christian walk?

We have all become complacent.
When our brothers and sisters in Christ are hurting,
where are those who would come to their rescue?
We have all listened too closely to Satan and have
hardened our 'hearts' to those in need and to God.
We would rather see our brothers and sisters drown in
despair than to give them a helping hand, praying with
and for them, offering them comfort and love.
We have turned into a 'me generation.'
"If it doesn't profit me personally,
let someone else do it."

Here is my challenge and inspiration to you.
Take time to read your Bible and pray for Our Lord
to renew your 'heart' and give you a steadfast spirit.
Carefully examine your walk and relationship to God
and your fellow Christian without regard to where
they are in this world or what church they attend.
Go back to your church and let God cleanse your 'heart.'
Take 'Heart' my dear brothers and sisters, for God has
good news for you...read and hear His Word for you....
"Blessed are the pure in heart:
for they shall see God."
~Matthew 5:8 KJV~
And as the background music suggests, "Change My Heart," Lord.
